It's been fixed. You make a good point about the trackpad. The wrist area is also a bit shallow on the 11. However, the weight difference is not insignificant, especially if it allows for a smaller bag. For some people, this may trump the comforts of the 13.
Interestingly, Apple almost universally shows the 13 on their pages about the Air. Though the bezels are the same thickness, they look proportionally bigger on the 11, so the 13 ends up looking better.

Re: 11″ vs. 13″ MacBook Air

I agree with your comment; resolution is primarily why I went with the 13". However, the larger trackpad is also a significant advantage, IMO. Maybe I'd get used to the shallower one on the 11", but my initial impression is that it's not as fun to use.

Still, now that the 11" CPU is up to snuff, it's worth considering (last year's 1.4/1.6 GHz C2D ran some apps noticeably slower than the 1.86/2.13 GHz C2D in the 13").

BTW, you have a typo: SSD instead of SD.

Re: Microsoft Office 2008 is absolute crap

kingsoft office 2010 -best alternative of microsoft office in brothersoft download in http://www.ksoffice.net

Re: Tip: Scrolling DIVs on the iPhone and iPad

Problem is that there is no affordance to indicate that the Div is scrollable, or that there might be additional material worth scrolling for...

Re: MrPostman – Outlook e-mail for the iPhone

I have recently released an app for OWA into the app store called Outlook Web Email (theres a free version to give it a try as well!). Do you mean directly interacting with graphs/data by pointing and clicking? There may be packages that allow you to do that, but you can't do that right out of the box.

Re: Statistics with Stata

Part of it is that Stata is so easy. There's great documentation, it behaves like a proper application, the syntax is straightforward. I'll give R another look, but I found it cumbersome in the past. It may be just a learning curve issue...can you visually edit the data in R?

Re: Statistics with Stata

Ishir, why not use R instead? Much more powerful/flexible to use than SAS (or Stata) with better graphical output.

Re: Stay away from myworldphone.com

I had a similar terrible experience with this company, they sent me a broken phone and then repeatedly hung up on me when I called to get a replacement..... they should be avoided at all costs

Re: Quick Thoughts on ChromeOS

Chrome has some nice features...I don't find it all that different from Safari, but there are a couple missing items that really bug me. The first is the lack of command keys to load bookmark bar items. The second is a minor annoyance. If you open the Developer Tools window, you should be able to drag it from anywhere in the top grey area (that's how it works in Safari). In Chrome, it only works if you drag it from the narrow strip at the top of the window.

Re: Quick Thoughts on ChromeOS

I personally prefer Chrome on the Mac.
